I came across your site when searching for the different standards. If your property is less than 50,000sqft then it will be 5000USD & if it more than 50,000sqft then it is calculated by charging 0.045USD per sqft. If it more than 500,000sqft then it will be 12,000USD. I'm not sure of the prices butwill be calculated in the format mentioned to you.Srimannarayana-00919985406216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8821030105982252839.post-75601607614495205232009-05-27T09:42:46.455-07:002009-05-27T09:42:46.455-07:00Hello Geoffrey Lewis, my name is Joe Hannon and I ...Hello Geoffrey Lewis, my name is Joe Hannon and I am a student with Auburn University. I've found that there is this China first mentality and any outsider trying to come in and tell them what's good is a bad thing. I don't know if you've come across this sort of mentality in your research but I get the feeling that if the Chinese didn't come up with the concept, it's not going to fly. There's definitely a trade-off going on in the project. The large, raised footprint of the building allows usable space beneath, which has its environmental and social advantages, but at the cost of using a lot of structural steel and concrete which has very high embodied energy and therefore carbon.

2. Are they implementing solar hot water or just PV? One knock on high-rises is that solar hot water on such buildings serves a relatively low percentage of the load demanded by the building and its occupants due to its compact footprint (i.e. - small roof space) and high FTE. It seems that this building can further set itself apart from the traditional vertical skyscraper by effectively implementing SHW - which, has half the payback period of PV.Ben Cooperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03243664251314028567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8821030105982252839.post-34675238231323387162009-03-11T13:07:00.000-07:002009-03-11T13:07:00.000-07:00Interesting approach to tackling the staggering ca...Interesting approach to tackling the staggering carbon footprint of today’s high rise structures. Many green projects adopt a "campus" like approach to their layouts which works well when you have the space, but are not feasible in congested areas with high real-estate costs. Another set back to the campus approach is the surrender of green space for the development. It will be interesting to see the approach of green designers in China's most populated cities.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8821030105982252839.post-26082863496896368692009-03-09T10:57:00.000-07:002009-03-09T10:57:00.000-07:00Great post! LEED must find a way to ensure its standards are maintained or certification just becomes a lost cause. i witness constant smoking in the building, poor lighting, fumes from continued construction, and just plain poor construction. it's a bigger problem in China but i feel the latter needs to be the bigger focus with "GREEN" a desired trajectory. -rAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
